2. Marriage relationships have outlived their usefulness. We live with our partner not because we want it, but out of established habit. Many people live this way, but they do not want or cannot change this situation.

3. Constant lack of finances . This problem is common to most people, and only a few can say with confidence that they live in abundance. But not everything is so bad - the financial situation can and should be improved, there are many ways to do this, if there is a desire.

“This is the first article in a large series on how to change your life,” I wrote as an introduction. For God's sake, don't wince.

I understand that the Internet is filled with a huge number of mediocre crafts on this topic. Their authors shamelessly promise 100% working methods, magical changes in life and step-by-step recipes for crazy success. Under the slogan “Changing life for the better,” both experienced and wise mentors and rogues who enjoy the popularity of the topic work.

In my opinion, the vast majority of such articles are nonsense. In my experience, I have tested and tested a large number of techniques for managing productivity, changing habits, beliefs and life. The vast majority of them “didn’t work” for me.

However, I always remember an ancient but little-known Russian proverb: “Every freak has his own method.” The humor of the Lord God lies in the fact that any, even the most moronic method, can help someone.

Anything can change a person's life. Changes in the life of the hero of the film “The Diamond Arm” began after he slipped on a banana skin. Alice didn’t plan to change anything, she was just bored. But when I accidentally saw a rabbit in a vest and with a watch, I shifted my “assemblage point” forever.

For example, there was such a funny episode in my life: when I was doing martial arts, for a long time I could not “place my hands” in the right way. One day my master gave me an extremely strange recommendation. It consisted in the fact that I had to walk on all fours for 5-10 minutes a day. At the same time, I needed to imagine myself as a pregnant elephant and feel a chill in the anus. Crazy advice. Is not it? However, after a week of practice, I managed to achieve something that had not worked for three months.

Examples of changes can be given endlessly. Just like you can endlessly experiment with different techniques for changing your life. However, these experiments not only eat up your time, but more importantly, they can harm your self-esteem, health and motivation.

If you ask yourself the following questions: “how to change yourself?”, “how to change your life for the better?”, “how to change yourself and change your life?” etc., and want to change your life, then it is important to understand what methods generally exist, how they work, who is suitable and who is contraindicated. It is important to choose what is right for you.

This article presents techniques for changing yourself and your life. I, to one degree or another, have tried everything on myself. Most experiments were unsuccessful. I wondered why. I began to analyze the reasons for this not only on myself, but also on my clients. This is how this catalog appeared.

I’m not just listing the methods that are offered to gullible readers of the Russian Internet as 100% working. I critique each of them.

Why is critical analysis needed? Why is this so important to you?

1. It is important to understand how and why the technique actually works. All methods, as a rule, are packaged in an attractive advertising shell that has no relation to reality.

2. You need to make sure whether the method of change is suitable for you personally, whether it corresponds to the characteristics of your personality. Using methods that contradict you, your value system and psychological type, and do not take into account the characteristics of your character, is destructive. You lose time, faith in yourself and the possibility of change.

3. It is equally important to check to what extent the application of the technique is possible and positive in your current life situation. In general, no one seriously engages in situational analysis. Meanwhile, our whole life is, by and large, a situation. Not being able to manage it, take into account its features and, at the same time, promise changes is simply stupid.

What methods are most often offered for changing your life, and what can we see when looking at them with a critical eye?

Below I provide a list of the main methods of life change. I gave each of them a short “nickname”. Each nickname has a grain of joke, but on the other hand, it most accurately reflects the essence of the method.

1. “Shake-up”: an extreme exit from the comfort zone.

3. “Focus”: goal setting and planning.

4. “Lust”: cultivating enthusiasm and self-motivation.

5. “Think positively!”: rational thought management.

6. “Prayers”: affirmations, meditation, working with negative beliefs.

7. “Barracks”: rigid planning, external imposition of deadlines and rates of change.

8. “Do as I do!”: absolutization of personal experience.

9. “Superconsciousness”: focusing on awareness and being “here and now.”

10. “It’s business, baby!”: using methods and approaches from business, sports, etc. to change your life.

The Shake Up Method: An Extreme Step Out of Your Comfort Zone


The essence of the method:

To change your life, you are invited to experience an extreme experience. It can be one-time and short, like a parachute jump or walking on coals; can be as long as “hell week.”

According to the adherents of this method, the “shake-up” allows you to gain new impressions, get rid of internal limitations, believe in yourself and literally be reborn into a new person.

Pros and cons, who is suitable and who is contraindicated:

Sometimes a “shake-up” can be useful. Especially when you live a monotonous and monotonous life. History knows many cases when extreme experiences really changed a person’s value system, his views on life and destiny.

The difficulty is that extreme situations and leaving the comfort zone in themselves are no more an intellectual tool than a hammer. If you line up a million people and hit each one on the head with a hammer, some will die, others will lose consciousness, but there are guaranteed to be lucky ones who will literally be reborn after this ridiculous action.

However, this is not a reason to declare a blow to the head with a hammer as a reliable means of changing your life for the better. Any extreme method is somewhat reminiscent of the favorite entertainment of Soviet television viewers. When the TV didn't work well, irritated citizens thoughtfully punched it. Sometimes it helped. At the same time, none of the punchers on TV understood why a punch should help the operation of a complex electronic device and what the cause of the malfunction was.

Extreme ways of changing your life guarantee you will receive strong emotions. In addition, many of them significantly increase self-esteem, and not out of nowhere. These are all advantages of this technique. However, any extreme technique is short-term and finite. Most of those who try it return to their normal lives again. After some time, no traces of the impact of the new experience remain. Everyday life is powerful because it is constant and supported by everyone around you.

According to my observations, those who have tried the “shake-up” are divided into four categories after it:

  • Those who were “stuck” felt the taste of adrenaline and victory. Extremeness and overcoming become the meaning of life for them. These are all the changes that happened to them. It is they who become the propagandists of the “Shake-up” method.
  • Those who liked it and became an impetus for development. They remain in euphoria for some time and use it to change something in their life. For some, the “Shake-up” lasts a long time, for others it doesn’t.
  • Those who liked the method, but no more. They received positive emotions and left it at that. These people continue to live as before.
  • Those who have been “traumatized.” There are not very many such people, but they do exist. The “shake-up” did not do them any good. At best, they were disappointed. Many have lost faith in themselves and the ability to change.

A “shake” is simply a blow to a complex system, which is a person. The result of this blow is completely unpredictable.

My experience:

There was a time when I was into Shakes. For example, I went with a friend on extreme hikes in winter, without a tent. He slept by the fire in the open air, subsisted on pasture, etc. I really liked to climb the walls of the ruins in Pushkin Park without insurance.

All this gave a sea of ​​adrenaline, increased self-esteem, self-confidence, but... in fact, did not change anything in life. As soon as I returned to my daily reality, she, like a melancholic cow, chewed on all my “achievements.”

Method "Training": developing habits


The essence of the method:

According to the propagandists and creators of “training” methods, in order to change your life, you need to start with habits and routine, repetitive actions. The main idea is to smoothly, little by little introduce new behavior patterns into everyday life. In this sense, “Training” is the opposite of “Shaking”. “Training” does not involve extreme experiences. But all these programs are long-lasting.

Pros and cons, who is suitable and who is contraindicated:

“Training” is very organic for a human being. We all went through it, starting in childhood. We were taught to go potty, clean up toys, brush our teeth, read, write, etc. In fact, with the help of "Training" we became human in many ways.

Repeated actions and new habits can really make a big difference in a person's quality of life. However, they do not influence the deep motivation of our actions, do not resolve internal contradictions and do not change destructive beliefs.

In addition, there is a whole class of people to whom the “Training” method is completely inapplicable. They are called differently: intuitionists, chaoticists, “creative natures,” etc. “Training” causes furious resistance in such people and kills any motivation. The use of this method causes nothing but disgust and disappointment in such people.

My experience:

I am undoubtedly a creative person. Dull, monotonous, repetitive actions make me angry. But, nevertheless, I need to learn something new and acquire useful habits. So, after repeated attempts to achieve “reciprocity” from this technique, I have reached a compromise.

Now I have a positive attitude towards her, but with some reservations. I create a checklist for every day. There I put those habits that I could practice during the day. However, I never (!) complete all the tasks on this checklist and consider this completely normal for me.

How do I work with it? From time to time I look at the checklist and listen to myself. As soon as I feel the urge to complete one of the points, I do it.

This approach allows me to carry out “Training” in a comfortable mode without violence against myself.

Focus Method: Goal Setting and Planning


The essence of the method:

The main thing is to set an inspiring goal, or better yet, more than one. Numerous Focus followers think so. After goal setting, you need to plan everything and move with a cheerful step towards prosperity. Any obstacle on the way to the goal is not perceived tragically, but fits into the action plan and is overcome.

Pros and cons, who is suitable and who is contraindicated:

“Focus” seems unusually attractive to people with a rational mindset. For those who begin to study this technique, life seems simple and clear, consisting of three actions: planned - done - achieved.

What makes you especially excited is that you can achieve anything you want. For this, examples of people who have achieved something are actively used.

I truly love Focus based life changing methods. They are simple, logical and clear. They exude a healthy Anglo-Saxon optimism. Unfortunately, these methods also cannot be considered universal. The thing is that to achieve success with their help you need to be a robot, not a person. The “Focus” model itself leaves out the presence of emotions, internal contradictions, crises, complexes and strange desires. Meanwhile, all these ignored and unaccounted for phenomena have a powerful impact on you, your life, motivation and actions. The more you ignore them, the stronger and more unexpected they appear.

My experience:

“Focus” has always been incredibly attractive to me. Its basics were taught to me by a very strong NLP specialist. At first, it seemed to me like a “magic wand” that could change my whole life. However, then I met an unpleasant “lady” named Procrastination. At first, like everyone else, I tried to overcome it, then to outwit it... And only later, when I examined my strategies for dealing with time, the features of my planning and the structure of my values, Focus began to work for me. I finally became friends with her only when I started working on my own emotions.

The Lust Method: Visualizing Success, Cultivating Enthusiasm, and Self-Motivation


The essence of the method:

The main thing is a positive attitude and vision. Adherents of the “Lust” method are confident that their visualizations, desires and emotions can directly influence the material world. Therefore, they see their task as constantly maintaining a high “degree” of positivism and enthusiasm. In some areas, this is considered sufficient for positive life changes and achievement of success. Other directions combine the Lust method with other techniques, such as Focusing.

Pros and cons, who is suitable and who is contraindicated:

Keeping yourself motivated, visualizing success and cultivating enthusiasm is a useful practice. You really begin to feel better, experience failures much easier, see more opportunities, and build relationships with people more easily. This is a truly positive aspect of this approach, which can be recommended to almost everyone.

However, when used excessively, practitioners of “Lust” lose adequacy. They very skillfully suppress negative emotions. At the same time, they forget that these emotions do not appear just like that, but serve as certain signals about “problems” in the external or internal world. Turning off negative emotions is turning off the “emergency warning” system. This practice ends in an explosion, breakdown or other catastrophic development of events.

The use of “Lust” to change lives by people prone to hysterical or exalted behavior is especially difficult. They are completely blown away.

My experience:

I had the opportunity to learn from one of the masters of this method. In 1994, after another seminar, I had the opportunity to verify the power of “Lust.” I really wanted to buy a mobile phone. Just in case, for the modern reader, I will inform you that its cost was $1,215, which in those years was equal to the annual (!) subsistence level of a family of 4 people. At that time I was earning about $200 a month. That is, buying a phone went beyond all conceivable limits. However, exactly this amount came to me literally three days after the desire was formulated - I completely unexpectedly received a generous bonus from a client whom I had greatly helped.

Unfortunately, this was the only time in my life when “Lust” worked so brightly. Analyzing this, I realized that I did not like to be in a state of euphoria and artificially maintained enthusiasm for a long time, which are required to successfully use this technique. Such emotions deprive me of an adequate perception of reality.

“Think Positively!” Method: Rational Thought Management

The essence of the method:

Our thoughts control our lives - adherents of this method are convinced. Right thoughts produce right actions, which produce right results.

Unlike the previous direction, the “Think Positively!” method deals not with emotions, but with thoughts. He divides them into positive and negative. He fights with the latter.

Pros and cons, who is suitable and who is contraindicated:

Almost everything that has been said about the “Lust” method is also true for the “Thinking Positively!” method. If you use the elements of this approach without fanaticism, you can seriously improve the quality of your life. However, this method, like the previous one, misses the reason why negative thoughts appear. In addition, not all negative thoughts are harmful to our lives.

If you fanatically follow the “Think Positively!” method, you become overly rational, and you disconnect yourself from the emotional sphere. You become like a robot, which impoverishes your life and pushes other people away from you. In addition, a virtual policeman takes up residence in your head and monitors all your thought crimes. He mercilessly punishes you for any negative thought, which deprives you of freedom of thought.

My experience:

I started thinking positively in 1997. I mastered the “lucky guy” strategy, began to “catch” negative thoughts... But this method did not become completely organic for me. As I realized later, the characteristics of my personality and cognitive sphere do not allow me to concentrate only on the positive. I find it very useful to think through and analyze possible negative scenarios for the development of events. Several times in my life this has helped me a lot.

What prompted me to change my life?

Once upon a time, about 30 years ago, I also began to change my life. And this began with an expression in one book, which I naturally don’t remember, and I definitely can’t quote the expression, but I’ll tell you the essence. It said, “You think you know yourself, but you don’t. You don’t know yourself at all!”

Naturally, at first I thought, what nonsense, how can I not know myself? But, a little later, I took it as a challenge, and from then on my path to Myself began. On this path I became acquainted with observation, awareness, and meditation, which happened to me for the first time in 1994. And it completely changed my life. If I had known that everything would change like this, I would have started my journey even earlier.

  • other laws related to the structure of the world;
  • the passage of time (for example, we cannot go back to the past);
  • the cycle of seasons and weather;
  • temperament and other congenital characteristics;
  • aging and death;
  • your choices and your mistakes;
  • other.

Important! Any changes in themselves are neutral - just facts. It is people who characterize them as good or bad. It all depends on how we relate to changes in life.

Let's start looking for our calling

People spend years, decades in jobs they don’t like and suffer from it. It's time to find an activity that will start to bring you mental pleasure. And if you turn it into income-generating work, you can radically change your life for the better . People who love their work always manage to earn more. The only things better than mountains are mountains

In parallel with the implementation of AI, enterprises are already mastering automation and robotization of processes. A typical digital factory of the future is a fully automated production whose components are connected to each other and the customer via the Internet. As a result, process automation made it possible to increase product quality to 99.99885 percent—out of a million products, only 12 were defective.

Unmanned technologies remain the most important area of ​​robotization. Already today, drones are actively used in the most dangerous areas for humans - for example, in places of natural disasters. They help assess the situation and scale of the disaster, find and rescue victims.

As driverless technology develops, driverless trucks and taxis are gradually appearing, the movement of which is controlled by an artificial intelligence system. Since 2010, Google's self-driving cars have been tested in the United States, and in ten years they have traveled 32 million kilometers. In total, there are more than 1,400 self-driving cars from 80 different companies driving around the United States. In China, in 2021, robotaxis without a driver will be fully operational. Self-driving cars have been tested in Russia for several years. Sber drones are already driving around the streets of Moscow. The first unmanned truck is being tested by KamAZ, and in September 2021, BaseTracK announced plans to launch unmanned cargo transportation between Moscow and St. Petersburg by the end of the year.

In the future, due to widespread implementation, unmanned vehicles will become cheaper than manned ones: such trucks can drive non-stop to their destination and do not require a salary or human presence for maintenance. For example, an autonomous driving system developed by the American startup TuSimple allowed a truck to drive unmanned from Arizona to Texas (1,530 kilometers) in just 14 hours and 6 minutes. A truck with a driver covers the same distance in 24 hours.

With the advent of driverless cars on the roads, it will become possible to completely eliminate drivers and taxi drivers. Unmanned metro projects are already being developed in Moscow, so the appearance of driverless cars on the streets is a matter of time.

The use of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technologies, which allow cars to interact with each other, the environment and road infrastructure - in particular, traffic lights, significantly reduces accident rates. For example, the prototype of unmanned urban transport FLIP from Sber received both lidars, radars and cameras that allow analyzing information on the road, as well as V2X tools for exchanging data with surrounding vehicles and the environment.

All interaction with FLIP is based on communication with the Salyut family of virtual assistants. In the basic version, the car has an electric motor, but optionally allows the use of hydrogen as fuel.

The latter demonstrates another trend of the fourth industrial revolution - the abandonment of fossil energy sources in favor of renewable ones. This is especially evident in the growth of the electric vehicle market. As of early 2021, there are more than 10 million electric cars in the world, 15 percent of which are produced by the American company Tesla.

Russia does not remain aloof from green trends. According to the “Concept for the development of production and use of electric road transport” approved by the Russian government, in 2022 Russia should produce 2.5 thousand electric vehicles. By 2030, the number of electric cars produced in the country should reach 217 thousand. It is expected that by that time electric vehicles will occupy ten percent of the country's car market.

“Today everyone already has a good idea of ​​serial drones - ordinary cars converted for autonomous driving. We at SberAutoTech released such vehicles on the roads of Moscow for testing back in December 2021 and continue to expand our own fleet,” explains SberAutoTech CEO Andrey Vasilevsky.

However, driving without a driver at the wheel is only a small part of what people will experience with the introduction of autonomous driving technologies. Therefore, Sber is faced with the task of creating infrastructure - moving from driverless cars to comprehensive urban mobility services in a smart city.

Technologies make it possible to make any scenario even more flexible and user-friendly. For example, we expressed our vision of the driverless taxi of the future in the prototype of the autonomous electric vehicle FLIP, which can simultaneously transport up to six people. Such a drone can be used as public transport, if the passenger is ready to share the trip with fellow travelers, or as an individual one. In the latter case, FLIP becomes a personal space: a personal voice assistant, favorite music in the cabin, convenience in everything, right down to a comfortable manner of movement for the user

Being a public transport, FLIP is capable of transporting passengers “door to door” - there are no more transfers, no waiting at stops, no “last mile” problems. The platform on which the FLIP is built can be equipped with a cargo-passenger or purely cargo body, which will make it possible to implement a dozen more scenarios for large and small retail, cargo transportation, and door-to-door delivery.

This is a new level of comfort, which is available to a few in personal transport today, but is not yet possible at all in public transport,” says Vasilevsky.

In order to fully unleash the potential of autonomous transport, it is necessary to create infrastructure for it: high-precision navigation stations, digital roads. Instead of recognizing human-made signs, the drone should be able to receive all the information it needs from the road infrastructure and other connected cars. The future, as SberAutoTech believes, lies in this approach, “and our team confidently brings it to life.”
