In the 20th century, Hungarian psychiatrist Leopold Szondy developed a test designed to identify a person's unconscious thoughts, desires and deep impulses. The psychiatrist believed that the traits that turn us off in others made us dislike ourselves at an early age, and so we suppress them. From eight portraits of mentally ill people, you are asked to choose the one who repels you the most.

During the test, the subject was shown eight portraits of people suffering from various mental disorders. Then they were asked to choose the person who caused the most hostility.
