How does a rich person differ from a poor person - what psychological attitudes make some rich and others poor?

Lazy Investor Blog > News

Humanity has had social differentiation from its very beginning. But with the development of commodity-money relations, the social roles of people faded into the background. If earlier it was survival of the strongest, now it is survival of the richest. At the same time, poverty has become a truly global problem. Is it true that social inequality is the main threat of our time, and can it be corrected?

I recommend watching the video first. Don't forget to subscribe to the YouTube channel.

Attitude towards wealth

In families with modest incomes, children are taught from infancy that money is evil. Parents assure their offspring that everyone who has achieved success and become rich did so through dishonest means. In this way, they justify their own financial failures in the eyes of their children and program them for the same life. Indeed, how can one strive to acquire “evil”?

In families with high incomes the situation is different. They explain to children that there are poor and rich - this is the order of things in this world. From childhood they are taught that there is nothing shameful in wealth, but it does not give the right to treat the poor with disdain.

Is poverty a blessing?

I have always been against extremes. In connection with wealth, there are two of them: an endless race for goods that are often not even needed, and ostentatious poverty, when a person disdains wealth, believing that it is above worries about material things. There are people who wear rags, don’t take care of themselves, and believe that this pleases God. Of course this is not true. I recently read the words of Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov, who once said: “In my youth, I believed that man was created to suffer. Now I’m an old man and I understand that man was created for joy.” If the Lord gave you body and soul, then He also gave you talents. Realize what God has given you! If a person recognizes his talent and works on it, becomes a professional in his field and earns money thanks to this, what’s wrong with that? He provides for his family, helps his loved ones, makes the world a better place - is this a sin? Of course not.

Some people believe that the world is mired in evil and sin - but this peace was given to us by God. Has God really given us a vicious world? Or is it something else, and are we making it that way? We must look not at the depravity of the world, but at ourselves. Of course, this is difficult, but we can all live, pleasing our loved ones and Heaven.

Attitude to luck

There is another excuse for your own failures. This is a statement that wealth is either the fruit of luck or the result of receiving a good inheritance. But it’s not for nothing that they say that the strongest are lucky. An outside observer will never know how much work was done behind the scenes to make things happen in the end.

For example, a person can work tirelessly almost seven days a week, establish himself as a responsible and proactive worker, and then he will be offered a high position. And along with him, there will be other employees who will not show initiative, put additional effort into their work, and they will be passed over for promotion, despite the fact that they work longer than the “lucky” one.

Inheritance is also a controversial issue. How many people in history who, having received a huge inheritance, spent it within a few years? And there are many people who started their path to prosperity from scratch. It turns out that the issue is not in the initial capital, but in the attitude towards it.

Therefore, here is a single piece of advice to people with modest incomes, which follows from the previous two points: stop looking at rich people with disdain, try to discern their personal and professional qualities that allowed them to achieve success, and develop them in yourself.

Psychological attitude

Orison Swet Marden, famous American psychologist, author of the book “The Biggest Secret. The Incredible Power of Thought” wrote: “Desiring wealth, but at the same time constantly subconsciously expecting failure in the financial sphere, constantly doubting your abilities, trying to achieve success, is tantamount to trying to get to the East Coast, while going to the West. Your plans are doomed to failure as long as you doubt yourself and thereby attract failures to yourself.”

It has long been known that thoughts are material. Rich people, like poor people, have good days and bad, successful businesses and failed ones. The only difference between them is that for a rich person, failures are the subject of analysis, conclusions and the starting point for further correct actions. It never even occurs to him to fold his arms before the first difficulty. For the poor, any obstacle may turn out to be insurmountable, since he is internally ready to give up at the very beginning.

Rich and poor person: what's the difference?

The biblical words that everyone will be rewarded according to their faith are perfectly suited to the realities of life. You just need to keep in mind not faith in God, but faith in yourself and in the fact that a person will have everything that he sincerely believes in. If you believe that your business will succeed and your income will increase quickly, it will happen. Believe that you will have a strong family too. Only this faith should be not only on a conscious, but also on a subconscious level.

No matter how skeptics scoff, a person is really able to control his desires and get what he wants.

Do you want to check whether you have a psychology of poverty or not? Give it a try. A beautiful car passed next to you. How do you feel about this, what do you think?

  1. Anger and irritation. “They’re freaks, they stole and bought expensive cars.” Oh, I wish I had one like that! It’s a pity that an honest person can’t make money on it!”
  2. Delight. “This is a car! I want one too and will buy it. You just need to find a good job/implement all your plans/find like-minded people who will help you move forward.”

Try not to succumb to self-deception. The first feeling that flashed through is the truth, no matter how bitter it may be. If you experience negative feelings, then, unfortunately, you are living an attitude of poverty.

Even a very good psychotherapist cannot get you out of it. Until you drive away all the “cockroaches” yourself, your life will not change for the better. First of all, acknowledge the problem. If you say to yourself: “Yes, I want money, but I still hate wealth and cannot cope with my attitudes towards poverty,” this will be the first step towards a new life.

Only then will you be able to overcome old stereotypes over time.

Willingness to take risks

In the biography of any wealthy person there was at least one decisive moment of choice - familiar stability or an unknown prospect. A rich person is not afraid to take risks, to put his current stability on the line for future wealth. The poor need guarantees in everything, which in this case no one will give him.

It is the fear of taking risks that prevents the poor from starting their own business. Although everyone has long known that only by working for yourself can you get rich. When running his own business, a person will invest fully in it and look for new sources of income and development.

How to learn to think like a rich person

So, there are a lot of differences in the way the rich and the poor think. But in essence, the difference between the psychology of the poor and the rich is only one thing: the former feel dependent, helpless and oppressed, while the latter are not afraid to make decisions, act, and take responsibility. A rich person goes to success, and a poor person just avoids defeats and losses. In order to change your thinking, you will have to change your motivation. It's not too easy or quick, so it's worth starting with simpler and more understandable goals, but the desire for positive motivation should always remain in sight.

Thinking like a successful and self-sufficient person is not so easy, especially if you have a long history of negative experiences, a toxic environment and unsuccessful attempts to change your life. You need to get ready for long and not the most pleasant work on yourself and not give up if you can’t change “everything at once.”

Where to start working on your own thinking?

  1. First of all, you have to realize that false attitudes and stereotypes prevent you from earning more and living a more fulfilling life. It’s not about the amount of money, the lack of necessary connections and influential relatives, but about one’s own psychology, outlook on life and passivity. There is no doubt that not everyone can earn millions or create a business empire; but anyone can improve their existing financial situation at least a little.

Ability to think strategically

The author of the international bestseller Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill, writes: “Millions of people spend their entire lives unable to get out of poverty or even misery for only one reason: the lack of a well-thought-out plan.” The poor man's actions lack consistency; he starts doing something and then quits, switching to something else. He does not see possible obstacles and does not know how to deal with them. A rich man is like a skilled chess player. All his moves and actions are clearly thought out and meaningful. He knows how to avoid difficulties, and if this is impossible, then minimize the damage.

What impact does poverty thinking have on your life?

Our beliefs influence our decisions and actions, and our attitude towards money leads to more or less money in our pockets. Surely everyone can remember situations from their lives when people they knew became rich even under unfavorable external circumstances: in an unstable state, during a crisis, in lean years, without special education, funds to start a business, or the help of generous relatives. On the other hand, there are often those for whom things never go well, who are always deceived, who find trouble out of the blue. Such people not only do not get rich, but also lose even what they have. Both successful and unsuccessful people act in the same circumstances, and the difference between them lies only in the way they think and what actions this way of thinking gives rise to. At the current moment, a person with the mindset of a rich man may not be rich, and a person who thinks like a poor man may have a substantial amount in his hands (for example, a grandmother’s inheritance), but it is precisely the peculiarities of thinking that will lead to the fact that after some time the first person will acquire capital, and the second one will lose. In this article, by wealth and poverty we will not understand the actual contents of your wallet, but rather a life philosophy, following which you can reduce or increase this wallet.

In my collection of life observations there is a case with one of my distant acquaintances. This man led a riotous lifestyle for many years, did not care about his well-being and health, and did not attach much importance to the conditions in which he lived. For many years he drove decrepit and falling apart cars, which invariably caused surprise in the car repair shops where he repaired these cars. One day a friend of mine got lucky. For some work he received a lot of money at once and decided to buy a new car with it. On the same day that the purchase was made, the owner of the new car was involved in an accident due to the fault of third parties. As a result of this traffic accident, the newly purchased car became completely unusable. The acquaintance himself was not injured and escaped with a slight fright, there were no other victims either, but the man refused the idea of buying good cars in the future, and the car had to be sold for spare parts. An acquaintance summed up the situation with the phrase: we didn’t live richly, there’s nothing to start with. I will not undertake to analyze now whether the accident could have been avoided and whether my friend really was not to blame for this incident. I was more alarmed by the attitude with which this person goes through life.

Video: how thinking affects life

Attitude to time

"Time is money". This well-known phrase describes the attitude of a rich person to this most important resource. A rich man's time is valuable, so he will not waste it on meaningless things. Focus on results helps him easily give up momentary entertainment for the sake of future prospects. For the poor, spending the whole day watching social networks or TV series is perceived as a completely normal occurrence.

Another destructive habit of the poor, associated with time, is putting everything off “for tomorrow”, starting a new life on Monday, from the beginning of the month, from the New Year, etc. We must understand that the right moment will never come if there is no determination to act here and now.

For the poor, mistakes can be fatal.

Now let's apply the same funnel to the poor people at the bottom. They have to spin at breakneck speed to avoid sinking. Any mistake made can be fatal and drive a person into poverty.

As you know, after satisfying basic physiological needs (food, sleep), a person wants something more. The poor simply do not have money for this, since all funds are spent on meeting basic needs. As a result, people begin to experience chronic fatigue and want to pamper themselves with something, but there are so many temptations around.

It is not surprising that many people fall for the bait of credit institutions that offer to get everything here and now. However, sooner or later the debt will have to be repaid. Sooner or later, a debt hole arises, from which it is incredibly difficult to get out. People accumulate debt and fall into deeper poverty.

Attitude to spending

Miser pays twice. A rich person will never spend money on cheap and low-quality goods, since such things will not last long and will have to open their wallet again. The poor man accumulates a mountain of low-quality goods, but this does not bring him any benefit.

Shopping for a rich person is extremely pragmatic. When going shopping, he knows exactly what he needs to buy and where, he will not allow any third-party expenses. And for a poor person, it is normal to leave the house for salt and return without it, but with jeans, a jacket and boots. For him, shopping is a means to relieve stress, and not to buy the right thing.

Rich people are thrifty and do not like to throw money away. They keep clear records of what they earn and what they spend, and they will not allow their budget to go into deficit. Poor people often spend everything on meaningless purchases in the first days after their payday, and then live from hand to mouth until the end of the month.

PSYCHOLOGY OF LIFE +

It seems great to have a good home, not to think about the order of purchases when your child studies at a prestigious institution, to maintain the health of yourself and your loved ones and other benefits that only money can provide, BUT!, oddly enough, there are people who believe, that money is not everything in our lives! Let's think and analyze the main criteria by which the rich desire and strive to be richer, while the poor generally do not grieve that they are poor, besides, he has his own opinion on this...

PSYCHOLOGY OF POVERTY

There are several main common reasons for a person’s behavior in which access to wealth is blocked for him. Let's look at the most typical ones:

It may be low paid, but it is a stable job

A person with a poor man's mentality usually chooses a low-paying but stable job. In government agencies. Because the state will always provide. And if you go to a commercial organization, then there is a risk of remaining on the street after some time. A person absolutely does not believe in his own strength and that his experience and knowledge will be in demand. In the end, this is what happens. He goes to a tedious, boring job, stops learning new things, becomes sour and becomes useless to anyone. Instead of growing and developing.

Fear of change

Again, for the reason of remaining useless to anyone, a person with a poor man’s psychology is afraid of change. The motto is - it's better to have a little than to risk and possibly lose everything. People with the psychology of poverty will never open their own business, will not explore new market segments, will not go to get a second higher education at 40, and will never move to another city in search of a new life at 50!

Low self-esteem

A characteristic feature of people with the psychology of poverty. And where does high self-esteem come from if a person does not live, but vegetates - a gray, uninteresting job, which is also scary to lose, a lack of bright impressions in life, a change of place and justified risks. Precisely those factors that make you respect yourself for your work and opportunities. A person with the psychology of a poor man does not understand that wealth and good prospects are revealed to active people who are not afraid to take risks and start all over again.

Reluctance to be active

Obviously, in order to achieve something and get a good result, you need to constantly make efforts in this direction. For example, consider offers for an interesting and highly paid job with a wider range of responsibilities compared to the previous place. And thus grow all the time.

A person with the psychology of poverty does not want and does not know how (because he has never tried) to be active - he is afraid to look for a new job, because he already believes in advance that he cannot cope, does not work part-time, because he is sure that nothing will work out and there is no money anyway will not be. Man is passive, and therefore poor.

Everyone should

A person with a poor man's mentality is convinced that he should be paid decently. Simply because he does his job well. And his salary should be such that it is enough for everyday life, for recreation, for children, and for himself. Forgetting that he himself agreed to work with low pay. And now he blames the stingy boss.

A person shifts responsibility from himself to others. What's the point of moving if nothing depends on me anyway? Do it or don’t do it, but the result is the same - I won’t get anything.

It's easier to be frugal

The poor spend their energy not on attracting, but on retaining. They spend hours visiting stores, comparing prices and shopping where it's cheaper. They write and go to various authorities, seeking a meager reduction in utility bills or one-time social assistance, which is hardly enough for one trip to the store. Instead of effectively spending the same efforts on earning money or finding a good job.

Take a closer look at yourself. Do you have at least one of the listed qualities? And get rid of it urgently if something similar is discovered. Remember that your life and your well-being are only in your hands!

PSYCHOLOGY OF WEALTH

Everyone and everyone writes about the psychology of wealth. There are millions of books. Popular authors all over the world - Brian Tracy, Klaus Joule, John Kehoe, Bob Proctor, Joe Vitale - and their scribes organize trainings and seminars around the world, from which they actually make millions.

Secrets of creating, maintaining and increasing personal wealth from Bodo Schaefer

In the United States, the psychology of wealth has been known for fifty years. Maybe that’s why there are significantly more millionaires there than anywhere else on the planet. Moreover, anyone can become one. Many people have gone from zero to millions in their accounts.

Readers of inspiring books on the psychology of wealth will confirm: all the authors talk about the same thing in different words. And there is absolutely nothing strange about this.

Brian Tracy: the best self-development books

We are used to going to the doctor with health-related problems, and with everyday troubles - to friends and girlfriends who will provide a vest and always console, and some will even help with practical advice. Often we want to solve psychological problems ourselves without the help of a professional, reading books and articles on practical psychology and thinking about the situation for a long time. Our mind and soul are not much different from other human organs, such as the liver or heart. Therefore, they must be treated by a professional. Not everyone in Russia has come to this point yet. But let's not digress from the topic.

So what is the psychology of wealth?

John Kehoe - one of the famous authors - lived in a poor shack, ate what he could and did not even have one extra cent. During this period of poor life, he came up with his own psychology of wealth. Moreover, his very first step changed his future life. The secret is simple: he tried to consciously see abundance in everything. I have a lot of everything. This should stick in your head. He counted the wild grapes he ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many in his place would suffer and whine from their meager lunch. It turns out that he did not have little food, but on the contrary, many, many grapes. He had not a few dollars, but a lot of cents.

The key here is gratitude! What can you say thank you to the universe for? Just start noticing the wealth that you already have, even when it seems to you that everything is not enough and there is nothing to say thank you for. Since you are reading this article, you definitely have a computer, a roof over your head and access to the global network. This is much more than John had in his time. Yes, millionaire John Kehoe at one time only dreamed of what you already have.

After recognizing abundance in your life, start using the millionaire image. It's a fun game, you have to act like you're already a millionaire every day. You don’t think about debts and loans, you read the menu in a restaurant from left to right, and not vice versa, and you don’t start complaining about inflation. You are already rich, so there is no need to worry.

Budget planning is important . There should be no place for black holes in it. If you have debt, it means something is not organized correctly.

We present to your attention several exercises from the books:

Esther and Jerry Hicks suggest the following game. Get a notebook and write on the first page: “Today I received 30,000 rubles.” Please feel free to “spend” this amount below, describing in detail what you are buying and at what cost. With each subsequent day, increase the amount received by 30,000 rubles. When you mentally sort out all the current expenses and household needs, you will develop an imagination that will help you feel like a truly rich person.

Joel practices another exercise: he carries an irreplaceable hundred dollars in his wallet, and, walking past shops and cafes, mentally spends this money again and again. During the day, you can “spend” several thousand dollars in this way, after which your subconscious will breathe a sigh of relief: finally, you are a truly rich person!

Remember the Buddha's bedside. “We are what we think.” Think about money and it will come. Read financial newspapers, study investing and economics, think about ways to increase your income and find an additional source. And opportunities will begin to appear. This scheme has worked for centuries.

Skeptics will say: “If all this works and everything is so simple, why are there so many poor people in the world?” Perhaps the answer is obvious. Of the large audience of readers, only a few actually engage in their own development. After all, this is not magic or witchcraft, but work on oneself and the attitudes of the subconscious.

Determination, control over thoughts and words, constant work on oneself - these are the components of success.

How does a poor person's mindset differ from a rich person's mindset?

Most people are dissatisfied with their financial situation and would like to improve it. It is clear that not everyone succeeds in this. Although almost all people, perhaps excluding the oligarchs, consider themselves not rich - there is always someone to compare themselves with in terms of wealth and feel their inferiority.

TEST: You and money, or what is your true relationship with money

First, let's look at how each of the representatives of poor and rich assess themselves:

First of all, which is very important! How much is your time worth?

A poor man never knows the value of his time. More precisely, it is worth nothing to him. Therefore, without hesitation, he spends it on various completely useless things for him.

For example, in Soviet times, when almost the entire population was poor, it was customary to meet and see off relatives who came to visit. People dodged, asked to leave work (they still got paid) and fulfilled their voluntary duties.

Then times changed, relatives might not have become so poor, but the habit of meeting and seeing them off (especially if you have a car) remained. It doesn't matter how much time you spend on it, it's important to help people.

This is how poor people behave. And the rich either send their driver to the meeting, or invite the guest to take a taxi and come. You can only go somewhere and personally meet people of special categories - your beloved woman, your parents.

Here's another example. You may be very focused on discounts, trying to buy everything as cheaply as possible. Today, various discount systems on the Internet have greatly enriched themselves from this tendency of the psychologically poor - they meet the needs of poor people to buy everything at a discount.

In principle, rich people also love discounts (more precisely, they love money and are very reluctant to part with it, especially if they feel a discrepancy between price and quality).

The difference between the poor and the rich is that a poor person does not consider the expenditure of his time necessary to receive a discount. He can monitor for months when the goods he needs can be bought cheaper. Then he is ready to go to the other end of the city to buy something, and be sincerely glad that he bought something a hundred (one thousand or three thousand) rubles cheaper. It practically turns out that he earned this money by wasting his time .

Now you need to divide the size of the discount received by the time spent on getting it. And you will find out what amount of money you earn per hour that really makes you happy.

If you are a pensioner and have more than enough free time, then almost any amount will be pleasant for you. And if you work somewhere and sell your labor for a salary, have you increased or decreased your cost per hour, chasing discounts?

Let's explain this idea with numbers:

Let's say you work at an enterprise and receive an average of 35,000 rubles per month (in your hands). To get this money, you spend 8 hours x 24 working days per month = 192 hours in working time. This means that you once valued yourself at 35,000 rubles per month, or 35,000: 192 = 182 rubles, or approximately $5.3 per hour.

Naturally, you think that you should get more. This is at the level of your aspirations. What do you really value yourself at, for what money are you willing to spend your time chasing discounts?

Let's do the math. Let's say you spent about 8 hours searching for the product you need, with an average cost of 12,000 rubles (some kind of device). You looked at prices on the Internet, then did research on prices in stores, then went to one store and bought the item you needed for 11,000 rubles.

That is, in the end, after 8 hours of intense searching, you “earned” 1000 rubles. We divide these 1000 by 8 hours of searching and get 125 rubles. That is, you have reduced your “value” by 32%! In theory, you think you're worth a lot more than $5 an hour. But in practice, you are sincerely happy when your efforts brought you $3.6 per hour.

This is your true price. Or even lower, if next time you spend a lot of time to get a discount of as much as 200 rubles.

This is the behavior of a poor person who is ready to waste his time for any amount.

Now let's take a rich person with an average monthly income of 20 thousand dollars. He usually doesn’t know the “value” of his hour either. But he intuitively senses where he should invest time and look for a discount. And where is it worth paying the requested price right away, and not wasting time and effort looking for a cheaper item, while winning an insignificant amount for yourself?

It is clear that the poor person will say: “give me 20 thousand a month, and I will also throw money around.” But in this world no one gives, you have to take everything yourself. But you will not take more, even if the opportunity to earn more, if you are sincerely happy about such small financial achievements.

Most likely, you simply will not see such an opportunity, since your inner gaze will always be turned towards making little money.

Now let’s talk about what kind of future the poor and the rich unconsciously choose:

Where is my income ceiling?

Imagine a situation: you are planning to buy a car. Or a bicycle, or a summer cottage. You have a certain amount of money that allows you to make a purchase that you can afford. You like a car (bicycle, land) that costs a little more than the money you have.

What will you choose to buy?

The vast majority of people unconsciously choose safety. That is, the purchase is “affordable”.

That is, they squeeze their needs into their available income. They don't believe that income can increase, so they don't want to create additional difficulties for themselves. And this is with an external declaration that you want to be richer.

That is, a person fears an unknown future; inside himself, he conditionally looks into the past and down. He does not look to the future he would like to achieve.

What does a person who really strives to be more wealthy do? He also lives according to the income that he actually has today. But he always strives to expand the boundaries of his capabilities. This is dangerous, requires a lot of effort and does not guarantee results. But then look forward and upward, to new heights.

His Subconscious, seeing danger ahead, gives the body an additional energy impulse, helping it overcome the danger. And in this excitement, he easily finds an opportunity to earn the money that he lacked to buy.

You can even use this approach to increase your income. That is, purchase those things that are a little (!!!) more expensive than your existing savings. In the end, you will have to work a little harder, but you will still find an opportunity to earn the missing money. Next time, do the same, and gradually you will move into the zone of more expensive things and higher income.

So pay attention to your thoughts and actions when shopping. If you always strive to save money and not go beyond your existing income (comfort zone), then you have a set of beliefs of a poor person.

BEST BOOKS ON SELF-DEVELOPMENT

Let's move on to the list of misconceptions of the poor regarding wealth:

Poor people have a whole mythology around money. There is a whole selection of nonsense associated with superstitions and myths about money. There are many proverbs about money, including religious ones. Sometimes it seems to me that all these things are invented by richer people for less affluent people.

1 . To earn big money you need to study well! Absurd. You need primitive skills and simple, understandable methods of earning money. I know a lot of less educated, less cultured, but more literate and wealthy people. The question is that these people know what brings them success and prosperity, and educated people work for less educated people because their knowledge is less applicable in life.

2. Big money comes to those who work hard! Absurd. Those who set the right goals for themselves and find the right ways to realize their goals earn big money. You can spend a very long time digging toilets for neighbors, or carrying boxes at the market. To get rich you'll have to do something different.

3. Money is not the most important thing in life! I wonder what people who say that think. Sometimes it seems to me that these people... Rest and reasonable housing and food, clothing and entertainment and education and everything you can imagine can only be obtained in exchange for something. If a person has some other resources with which he can support his family and himself, then everything is fine. Such resources include in-demand knowledge or skills and abilities, for which people will be willing to give certain benefits. But if there are no such skills or resources, then money remains the only equivalent.

4. Money spoils a person! Money and power only corrupt slaves. If slaves are given either money or power, then woe to those around them. Money and power only reveal the essence of a person, as an indicator of his condition. I know rich people - they are cheerful, strong-willed people who enjoy everything. And I know a sufficient number of evil and inadequate beggars, or simply low-income people. If money were evil, then homeless people would be the happiest and most positive people.

5. You can’t earn money by honest work! There are a lot of cases where people earned huge amounts of money quite honestly. There are a lot of success stories of enterprising people. These are ordinary people who have found their own methods of solving other people's problems. They solved other people's problems and made millions. Alcohol, for example, solves the drug problem for millions of people. They refuse to use harder drugs, and consider alcohol an acceptable solution to escaping the world for modest money.

6. It's a shame to be rich! Remember - it is a shame to be stupid and not strive for knowledge. It's a shame to be poor and sit idle. And money is only the result of activity and an indicator of the success of this activity. Having money is nice and comfortable. How can a poor, stupid, sick person help a friend? Nothing! It is also easier to maintain health if you have money.

7. Leave money for a rainy day. This is not just a mistake, it is predicting problems and attracting them into your life. When you raise money for something positive, it happens. Invest money in business, on deposits. They will bring you new money. Of the income, you can invest part of it again, and spend part on your pleasures, on purchasing gifts or useful things for your family.

8. If you were born poor, then this is fate! Such an opinion is forgivable for losers, pessimists and alcoholics. Any adequate person can strive and achieve more and better. A slacker and a lazy person wants to blame fate all his life for the fact that he is too lazy to put effort into his own wealth, health, well-being, and so on.

9. Poverty for religious reasons. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. It's written down

Try to get rid of prejudices associated with money as quickly as possible and you will be happy and have a decent bank account!

Attitude towards demonstrating your wealth

I think everyone knows Steve Jobs' black turtleneck or Mark Zuckerberg's jeans and T-shirt. Rich people do not need to show off in front of anyone; the external attributes of wealth are not important to them. That's why they dress simply and prefer ordinary rather than branded items.

Showing off is the lot of the poor. For them, an expensive thing is a way to assert themselves, to show that they are wealthy. It is poor people who take out a lot of consumer loans, which they cannot really secure. And is there any point in buying a new iPhone if your family is barely getting by from paycheck to paycheck?

In this video you will learn about the reasons for people's passion for showing off.

How much money do you need to be happy?

American scientists asked this question. After which we conducted a series of studies and this is what we found.

Happiness and money are interconnected categories. Having money gives its owner a feeling of confidence, comfort, stability and security. But here's what's interesting. Low-income people and very wealthy people alike experience a deficit of... positive emotions. They rarely enjoy life, but often suffer from depression, accompanied by headaches, low mood, and physical fatigue. It turns out that very big money does not bring happiness, nor do very low salaries.

Although it is clear that the rich are in a better position and are aware of this. They consider themselves accomplished people, look confidently into the future, are proud of their successes, but happiness does not live in their luxurious apartments, just as in poor dwellings.

Too big a bag of money is difficult to carry through life. A person loses his usual social circle, old friends, ceases to believe in the sincerity of feelings, and pressed caviar for breakfast eventually becomes boring... What remains? To be sad and reflect on the frailty of everything earthly.

Meanwhile, people with average incomes are the happiest. They are not strapped for money and can afford a lot. But most importantly, they have not lost the ability to enjoy what costs money. Travel, delicious food, exclusive alcohol, beautiful clothes, comfortable housing, a modern car, collecting - just the thought that a person can afford all this brings joy and satisfaction.

So there shouldn't be too much money. It is important to observe moderation in everything - that very golden mean that leads to harmony.

Attitude to work, labor

A poor person often hates his job, every day at work is a nightmare for him, so it is pointless to hope that this business will bring him income. Why? Firstly, for the sake of an unloved business, he will not make a single extra effort, without which real success is impossible. Secondly, he doesn’t like this business, because he cannot reveal his potential and his abilities in it. So it turns out that rich people do what they love, while poor people suffer in what they hate.

And we have already noted one more fact: the poor man works from bell to bell, he measures his work by the time spent. A rich person works for a result, so if he needs to achieve it, he will not spare time or effort.

Psychology of rich people and 5 habits of poor people

How do rich people live? They don't think about how others made money and in what ways they did it. They are more concerned about the question of how they can earn money themselves.

Rich people are constantly improving and learning. They won't ask: why do you need this? Or why study when you're over...?

And they try to communicate with positively minded people who do not complain, but take certain steps to improve their lives and the lives of others.

Unfortunately, the habits of the poor, which appeared in youth and originate from childhood, are difficult to eradicate. What are these habits? Let's look at some of them.

  1. Spend money without delay .
Poor people have money “from payday to payday.” Just enough to last from the beginning to the end of the month or week. When you have to buy a new refrigerator or choose between boots for your eldest son or a bicycle for your youngest, problems begin. What kind of savings are we talking about here? People are struggling to make ends meet and are unable to manage their small budget. Even if you have “extra money”: a bonus, a win, an inheritance, you will immediately find something to spend it on.
  2. Surround yourself with people with low incomes. People with the psychology of poverty surround themselves with the same people. Why! There will be someone to complain about life, share failures and discuss “bad” men who acquired wealth dishonestly. If suddenly a classmate or former neighbor becomes rich, they leave the social circle. A poor person is afraid of such people, believes that they themselves do not want to communicate with him, and therefore there is no desire to maintain relationships.
  3. Pok over old things .
When a person is fixated on poverty, he is ready to keep old things and accumulate them until his house resembles a warehouse or even a landfill. I would like to ask: why do they need the suit they wore ten years ago? Why do you need an old lamp, donated a certain number of years ago? However, these things are stored in the hope that someday they will be useful to someone. But in order to accept something new into your life, you need to make room - get rid of the old, including psychologically.
  4. Save on everything. You need to save, but within reasonable limits. People with low incomes are willing to go to the other end of the city to buy food and things for a few rubles cheaper, although this means spending money on travel. It also takes away time that can be devoted to self-development. They do not win anything, but waste energy and time. But time is the most important resource. And first of all, you need to bet on it. Isn't it easier to buy groceries close to home and save 2-3 hours to learn English or improve professionally?
  5. Complain about life .
The psychology of poverty implies that people like to complain about their failures, taking out negativity on others. So, if you want to get rid of poverty, you will have to stop communicating with such friends. Why do you need the opinion of pessimists who do not believe in their own strengths and hate the world? They are too immersed in their own problems and do not even notice the opportunities that life provides.

Attitude towards education

We live in an actively changing world; now there is not a single area of human activity that is not affected by progress and new technologies. Naturally, now other requirements are placed on specialists. Hence, the position of the poor that they have received one education and will not study anything else is hopelessly outdated. A rich person constantly takes advanced training courses and develops his professional skills.

A rich person, unlike a poor person, even devotes his vacation to self-development and self-education. Zag Ziglar, an expert in the field of network marketing, noted on this matter: “Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs.”

Attitude to life

A rich man is the master of his own destiny. He is not afraid of responsibility for his actions and, if necessary, takes a blow. He is sure that no one owes him anything and there is no point in waiting for gifts of fate. Such people are also distinguished by an optimistic attitude and the ability to enjoy every day.

A poor person takes a passive position in life. He waits for some lucky break and blames others for his failures. Such a person lives in the confidence that someone should do something for him and for him. Need I say that because of these “unfulfilled hopes” he is most often in a bad mood?

Attitude to the future

Robert Kiyosaki, American entrepreneur, Fr. Indeed, a rich person's gaze is always directed to the future. A very illustrative example of this is Elon Musk, who, despite all the failures, finances the most incredible technical solutions. A poor person is fixated on the past or does everything according to a model.

This leads to another relationship in money. For the rich, money “works”, they invest it, invest it in various projects. The money of the rich is an asset, so they have no extra or free funds. The poor man puts his money in a little jar, and it lies like a dead weight. Moreover, this money may depreciate due to inflation or crisis.
