“Never give up” - how effective is this advice?

“Never give up - never, never, never, never, neither in great nor in small, neither in large nor in petty, never give up, unless it is contrary to honor and common sense” - Winston Churchill.

Many people have probably heard this famous quote.

But how applicable is it in practice? Is it possible to always not give up and is it effective to be so persistent? Let's speculate.

We will talk about how not to give up for a long period of time
- from one day to a lifetime.
In this article, I will not teach you to grit your teeth through the pain and resist your opponent’s blows in the ring. I won’t tell you how to run a marathon. Such things are accomplished through willpower. But willpower has nothing to do with long-term goals.
